Mother, wife, grandmother, spokesperson, volunteer, teacher, mentor, advocate... the list goes on. Michelle Keach, 2023 President of the Northern Rhode Island Board of REALTORS® and last year's Rhode Island REALTOR® of the Year, has fulfilled too many roles to mention. No matter what hat she wears, however, one thing stays constant - a grounded sense of humility that's obvious to all who know her.

Though Michelle found herself "grappling with Imposter syndrome" upon hearing of her win, the award nomination form submitted on her behalf told a different truth. With nearly four dozen professional and civic volunteer positions help in various groups, six designations earned, and numerous professional and civic honors and certifications, it's clear that Michelle's award is well-deserved.

In the REALTOR® realm, as in the rest of her list, empathy is her guiding principle, and building trust and engagement, her focus. Knowing that the trust journey starts early, Michelle has spent considerable time as an ambassador and mentor to new agents. She is passionate about spreading the message among all REALTORS® regarding the value the REALTOR® Association delivers to is constituents and homeowners, a message particularly important in today's volatile industry. And, with the enhancement of professionalism in mind, she is a strong proponent of the Code of Ethnics, She has used the Code as a guide in her roles on local and state Grievances and Professional Standards Committee, among others.

Michelle has been a powerful ally to the REALTOR® organization, her community, and her clients. Her physical stature may be petite but her REALTOR® spirit lives large.
